Mother’s Day is around the corner and you need a little inspiration to pamper your beloved mother. What better way to spoil her than with fragrant candles, made by your own hands and in no time. Craft candles that will melt her heart, and the one of your mother-in-law too…

Candles infuse our homes with a peaceful atmosphere. Their scent and gentle light of the flame instantly immerse us in a cosy atmosphere. We love them in distinctive fragrances: wood fire, lavender, vanilla, cotton flower, to name a few.

Prepare your candles in a variety of moulds! You can use, for example, a cup or glass jars that you no longer use, yoghurt pots or even old candle containers.

For the creation, you need wax (beeswax, soy wax or other), a candle container, a pair of scissors, a container suitable for a double boiler, a whisk, a candle wick with a metal holder, a bowl, essential oils if you want to use scents, a saucepan and skewers or pencils.

Melt the wax in a double boiler and stir constantly with a whisk until it is completely liquid. Once it has melted, add a few drops of essential oil, dip the end of the wick into the wax and place the wick and its holder in the middle of your container. Dip the end of the wick into the wax and place the wick and its holder in the middle of your container, pour in the wax and wait for it to cool slightly.

Once the wax is completely hardened, cut the end of your wick and voilà! Mum’s gift is ready!
