Before opting for an air conditioner, know that there are many tips to keep your house fresh during summer.
During the hottest days of summer, close the shutters and the curtains. Install exterior blinds, patio awnings, for example, that will shade your terrace or your balcony, and protect your openings from sunlight. Moreover, close your windows during the day and open them at night so that the air is renewed and refreshed.
A good isolation of your roof will enable maintain a room temperature to keep the air fresh during summer and a warm during winter. For the colours of the shutters, choose bright colours that reflect light and warmth.

Electrical household appliances generate much heat. Choose energy saving appliances and limit your use of cooking equipment, like the oven for example.
