While Sofap has established itself on the Mauritian market as one of the main paint manufacturers, the company stands out once again thanks to its eco-friendly initiatives. LaCase.mu invites you to discover the Sofap Eco Hub, a venue specially made for local stakeholders supporting sustainable development.

Another step towards a sustainable island

In line with its objective of becoming a zero-waste company by 2023, the paint manufacturer effectively adopts a sustainable approach. Indeed, Sofap, the first Mauritian company to hold the “Mauritian Eco Label”, has launched Eco Hub. Located on the first floor of So’Flo shopping mall in Floreal, this new eco-friendly address has welcomed its first artisans and recyclers in August 2020.

“The Eco Hub is the logical continuation of our commitment to sustainable development. Today, we are proud to be able to announce the opening of this place, which aims to provide a platform for artisans who will share the art of recycling with the general public. NGOs will have the opportunity to be heard. This initiative is in line with Sofap’s ambition: to become a zero-waste company by 2023, ” says Eric Adam, Managing Director at Sofap.

A beautiful green project

This welcoming exhibition space, promoting the creativity of Mauritian artisans in terms of recycling, reflects the engagement of Sofap towards a greener future. Given their own stands, recyclers get to advise and demonstrate how waste can be given a second life!

The Eco Hub is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Workshops will also be held as a second step to further promote sustainable development.
