As useful as silicone utensils may be by their resistance to high temperatures, or their appealing designs, they sometimes distract us from our green resolutions. Stainless steel spoons are quite easy to find. They are also easy to clean and will do the job just as well! However, when it comes to our non-stick pans, wooden spatulas would be a better choice.

Food containers…

Notorious since the dawn of time, plastic containers –convenient as they last over time –are not very environmentally friendly. They can however be replaced by glass containers. Of course, they should not be dropped, but they are healthier. In fact, it is recommended to microwave your food in glass containers, as plastic containers can be harmful to your health!

Food packaging…

To get rid of the familiar cling film, which makes everyday life easier, you can opt for reusable packaging made from beeswax. Infinitely reusable, all it takes is rinsing with soap and water! They are available in various sizes in ecological shops and can be used to wrap all your dishes!

Straws…

Readily available in supermarkets, reusable and 100% eco-friendly straws are the perfect solution. Choose from paper, bamboo, stainless steel and even sugar cane based straws! Besides being able to be used several times, this will prevent the straws from ending up in the ocean and be eaten by turtles and other submarine pals…
