Normally, cultivating roses in tropical areas is not ideal as it is a plant for moderate areas. However, the relative winter temperature on the highlands is easier to cultivate roses. Roses flower throughout the whole year and generally needs the cold winter period to rest. But in tropical areas, the tree tends to get tired and produce small flowers. Roses like well-drained soil, deep, rich and slightly acidic. It must be cultivated in the sun, away from wind and sprays. After flowering, do not hesitate to make a severe cut. Fertilize with compound manure. Beware of louses, mites and mushrooms which will need to be treated with suitable insecticides or fungicides.
